|1993||Jiawei was established by a group of prominent experts in advanced solar energy applications. The company’s focus on research and development, manufacturing, and sales fueled their growth. Jiawei holds over 70 patents, and hundreds of industrial applied technologies.|
|2001||Jiawei passed ISO90001 certification, and continued to maintain strict manufacturing and management standards.|
|2008||Jiawei partnered with SunPower™ to produce and brand the solar cells used in their LED solar lighting products. Their solar lighting testing methods became the industry standard for customers and 3rd party testing labs.|
|2009||Jiawei became the world’s largest solar lighting supplier.|
|2010||Jiawei established its headquarters in Hayward, CA to support international sales, marketing, and customer support.|
|2012||Jiawei began manufacturing LED lighting products. Jiawei became a publicly traded company when it was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Their initial product offering included a full range of LED lamps and LED fixtures. Jiawei shipped over $20M in LED lighting products in the first full year of production.|
|2013||Jiawei became 1 of 16 licensing partners with Duracell. Jiawei offers an extensive line of Duracell branded LED lamps, LED fixtures and LED low voltage lighting, and LED solar lighting.|
|2014||Jiawei acquired Vidis out of Hamburg, Germany, extending their Duracell licensing agreement globally as well as expanding their sales and product support for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Plans were finalized for a new 1.4 million square foot state-of-the-art LED lighting factory in Xiamen, China. The factory is a joint venture between Jiawei and Sanan; the largest LED chip manufacturer in China. The joint venture will leverage Sanan’s LED expertise and Jiawei’s marketing, sales, and manufacturing experience, to deliver high-volume, high-quality LED lighting products to the marketplace.

Mark Honeycutt, Chief Executive Officer
In 2010, Mark Honeycutt established Jiawei Technology (USA), which has grown into a top LED lighting company for retail and commercial markets in North America. Since then, Jiawei has also acquired other lighting companies and established operations and distribution in most major markets globally. With the proliferation of mobile devices and the advent of smart home technologies, Mark continues to transform the lighting industry with the first all-in-one home security light to give you and your loved ones peace of mind when home or away. Before Jiawei, Mark held leadership positions for more than 25 years in sales and operations for major retail corporations, such as Office Max and Boise Cascade. Mark holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, OH, and an M.B.A. in Banking and Finance from Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. Mark continues to explore the integration of lighting technology into smart home solutions so you can keep those closest to your heart safe and comfortable.
Chad Detiveaux, Director of Sales

Chad Detiveaux brings more than 16 years of home improvement experience to his role as Director of Sales at Jiawei Technology USA. Prior to joining Jiawei, Chad worked for Cooper Lighting as the National Account Manager where he managed their Lowe’s account. With his extensive background in residential and commercial lighting he developed strategic relationships with major retailers; better positioning Jiawei Technology USA in the North America and Canadian markets.
Chad holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans.
Mark Stahl, Sr. VP of Sales

Mark Stahl joined Jiawei Technology USA as SR. Vice President of Sales. In his 20 years in the lighting industry, he has seen the industry evolve into the dynamic environment it is today. From solar to low voltage to the latest innovations in LED landscape lighting, Mark has always been hands-on leader when it comes to product development and innovation. Before joining Jiawei, Mark was President of TS Advanced Technology in Dallas, TX for 5 years.
A lifelong Texan, Mark recently relocated to Hayward, CA to be closer to the action. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Midwestern State University.
Ryan Weems, VP of Commercial Lighting
“Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win” – Vince Lombardi
Ryan is the visionary behind the mission and strategic planning of the commercial lighting division at Jiawei Technology USA. He is responsible for developing and implementing a cohesive business development plan that includes new and existing strategies for electrical distribution and ESCO sales throughout the United States. He brings over 13 years of sales leadership from many industries including construction, home security, lighting, and energy.
He holds a double major Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Marketing & Entrepreneurial Management and Management and Marketing from Texas Christian University. He played collegiate baseball for TCU and was signed to an independent league as starting pitcher for the Fort Worth Cats from 2004 – 2006. He currently lives in Fort Worth, TX with his wife and two daughters.
Sanger Chen, Accounting & Finance
“Actions speak louder than words”
Sanger Chen is the Accounting Supervisor of Jiawei Technology USA. She brings 12 years of corporate finance and treasury operation leadership experience to this role. Sanger is responsible for leading Jiawei’s finance team, including providing expertise financial analysis, process improvement, and managing inventory management system on ERP, QuickBooks, and Fishbowl.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Guilin University of Electronic Technology in Guangxi, China. She currently resides in the Bay Area, California with her husband and two kids, where she enjoys hiking and biking.
Emily Wang, Sales Coordinator Manger
Emily Wang is the Sales Coordinator Manager at Jiawei Technology USA. She manages a team of the sales coordinator that serves as liaisons to bridge the communication gap between the North America and China teams. Her role includes overseeing major retail accounts, recruiting and training staff, implementing sales strategies, and assisting with sales team to increase company profits.
Emily is passionate about using sustainable manufacturing practices and natural resources to better the environment. She found her fit with Jiawei Technology as their social responsibility initiatives are dedicated to creating first-rate quality products in accordance with the highest management and manufacturing standards while meeting sustainable manufacturing practices.
She holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and a B.A. degree in Business Administration from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.
